SUBJECT: Launch of Lunenburg County Sport Heritage Society – Save the date!
BRIDGEWATER — How do we recognize sports excellence in Lunenburg County?
Historically, praiseworthy Lunenburg County athletes, coaches, teams, and builders have not had a community site where their accomplishments can be acknowledged – but that is about to change!
Over the past 12 months, a group of dedicated, sports-minded volunteers have formed the Lunenburg County Sport Heritage Society (LCSHS). Headed by co-chairs Marilyn Neily and Carroll Randall, the LCSHS Board of Directors has been working hard to prepare the way for a Wall of Fame to honour those who have made significant contributions to the sporting world and boast strong connections to Lunenburg County.
Today, the LCSHS is announcing that it will host the inaugural induction celebration for its Wall of Fame on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2017, at the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre (LCLC). So, save the date in your calendar now!
In the weeks to come, the LCSHS will provide the public with more information about attending the inaugural induction ceremony, as well as fundraising activities and details on how YOU can support this exciting local sports initiative!
